Every year the iconic red kettles are filled day after day during the holiday season by people who want to do good. Kettle donors say they want to feed their hungry neighbors, bring someone in from the cold, give a gift to a child whose parents can’t afford Christmas or one of many hundreds of reasons. A little more on Summer Camp, Salvation Army style

About 2,000 kids get to experience the fun of summer camp each year at The Salvation Army’s Mt. Crags or Camp Gilmore in the Santa Monica Mountains. Generous donors, like the Los Angeles Times Family Fund Summer Camp Campaign, make sure of it.

Here are some wonderful photos for you to enjoy of kids doing what they do at our camp: playing sports, enjoying a campfire, learning a musical instrument, communing with God’s creation, having a teachable moment with their counselor, and so much more.
