The Salvation ArmyMy friend Suzi Lacey is the Director of Public Relations for The Salvation Army in San Diego. She comes from the television news business so she knows how the media works and what they need!

Few people (if any!) are better at promoting the great work of The Salvation Army than Suzi. One of her hallmarks is the holiday, seasonal or theme fashion show. She visits our San Diego thrift stores and pulls together some of the great finds, ask staff or program participants to be her models and then produces a great show.

For instance, she’s gathered wedding dresses from our stores for a bridal fashion segment, men’s styles for a Father’s Day runway show and now, a well-timed, recession-friendly Back to School fashion show!

Watch the video segment below and then tell me the answer to this question in the comment section. What are “jeggings?”

I had no idea what “jeggings” were until I watched this segment. Now I know they are leggings that look like jeans. I really enjoyed this posting. Thanks!
