Christine does high style on a budget!
Send to KindleShe’s always coordinated, accessorized and super stylish. Her look is totally creative and appropriately professional.
How does she do it, you ask? She shops for pieces at The Salvation Army Family Store near her home!
And, when Christine shops, she’s got a strategy.
Here’s the secret behind her success:
1 – She’s committed: visiting the store is a regular stop on her weekly “to do” list
2 – When she needs something specific, she schedules an extra visit but most of her best finds happen when she’s just browsing
3 – She’ll pop in for a ten-minute look on her way home but she also goes on the weekends when she has more time
4 – During a shopping trip, she starts with the shoe racks to see if there’s anything interesting in her size
5 – Then she moves on to the skirts to see if there’s a unique piece she can build on
6 – She hits the sweater and jacket section next to look for interesting appliques, trims or graphics that she can cut off and use on another piece
7 – She checks out the dress and blouse section last because there are often so many of these items that starting there can feel overwhelming
Here’s a cute look she put together with a red-trimmed, cap-sleeve cow-girl dress and DKNY dyed pony skin shoes she found at the store in her neighborhood:
At at recent fashion “shoot” with our staff photographer John Docter, Christine modeled several beautiful outfits that she put together with the help of her local Salvation Army Family Store. So be sure to stay tuned for more great looks from Christine!
