Robert walks 40 minutes – each way – every Sunday to give back to The Salvation Army

Even though the Denver area had record snow this year, it didn’t keep Robert Armstrong from meeting his commitment to lead a Bible study at The Salvation Army’s Crossroads Shelter every Sunday. He walks the 2-3 mile distance each time, snowing or not.

Another peek into Christine’s closet

One day, our impeccably dressed colleague Christine Burton found a row of brand new white cowboy boots in her local Salvation Army Family Store. She picked out a pair in her size and took them home for less than $5!

On another visit, she spotted a cute red skirt with a double row of decorative flowers. When she saw it, Christine says she pictured herself decked out just like Barbara Stanwyck from “The Big Valley!

She bought the skirt and then went home to put the two pieces together. She topped it off with a white ruffled blouse and completed a chic Western look for about $10!
