One day, our impeccably dressed colleague Christine Burton found a row of brand new white cowboy boots in her local Salvation Army Family Store. She picked out a pair in her size and took them home for less than $5!
On another visit, she spotted a cute red skirt with a double row of decorative flowers. When she saw it, Christine says she pictured herself decked out just like Barbara Stanwyck from “The Big Valley!
She bought the skirt and then went home to put the two pieces together. She topped it off with a white ruffled blouse and completed a chic Western look for about $10!
Here’s a new slide show of images of Christine’s adorable look #2:

Dear C. Vrostos!
Thank you for your kind comments and for your commitment to giving thrift store treasures new life.
Happy Shopping!

I am an AVID thrift store shopper, sometimes several times a week, and I can’t say enough about the experience. It saves money, it saves the earth cutting down on the purchase and production of “first run” products, and helps a good initiative. “Thrifting” makes me feel like an explorer, the adventure of what I will find keeps me coming back for more!
This is great idea for a blog! Keep it up.
