Every year the iconic red kettles are filled day after day during the holiday season by people who want to do good. Kettle donors say they want to feed their hungry neighbors, bring someone in from the cold, give a gift to a child whose parents can’t afford Christmas or one of many hundreds of reasons. The Salvation Army in Southern Cal holds annual Dirt Dash & Mud Run!

Every year at the end of the summer, The Salvation Army in Southern California holds their Malibu Canyon Dirt Dash to raise money for the camping season at Camp Mt. Crags and Gilmore in the Malibu mountains.

The event features a 5 and 10 kilometer run through Malibu Creek State Park and an optional mud run and obstacle course too. Each participant can set an individual fundraising goal or raise money as a team to help provide camping opportunities to kids all over the Los Angeles area.
