And, all while breaking in a new backpack, notebooks and calculator! Some of the best advice parents can give their children is about how to get along well with others. The Salvation Army in Southern Cal holds annual Dirt Dash & Mud Run!

Every year at the end of the summer, The Salvation Army in Southern California holds their Malibu Canyon Dirt Dash to raise money for the camping season at Camp Mt. Crags and Gilmore in the Malibu mountains.

The event features a 5 and 10 kilometer run through Malibu Creek State Park and an optional mud run and obstacle course too. Each participant can set an individual fundraising goal or raise money as a team to help provide camping opportunities to kids all over the Los Angeles area.
