As lava flows toward Hawaii town, Salvation Army is prepared to help
October 30, 2014 – | No Comment

According to the Weather Channel, hot, molten lava from the Kilauea volcano is slowing creeping toward 900 homes in the city of Pahoa on the Big Island of Hawaii. Our Salvation Army Family Stores in the Western US have a new fall campaign!

The ads remind folks that if they’ve got something in the house or garage that’s not right for them, there’s no time like the present to drop it by one of our stores or let us come pick it up!

Whether it’s grandma and her rad, new surfboard (my favorite!) or the bodybuilder who’s grown too buff for his finely tailored suit, we’ve all got something that could be just the ticket for someone else.

Keep in mind, everything you donate that the Army can sell in one of its stores will raise the funds needed to offer no-fee life-saving rehabilitation to people in your community.

That’s a pretty nifty deal, right?

You’ll see the series of five ads online, in the paper, on billboards, transit shelters, and mall kiosks throughout the month of November in the following markets: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Phoenix, Tucson, Portland, Seattle, Honolulu and Denver.

Thanks for your support!
