Volunteers do day-long work project to Love Lodi

Do you love your city? I mean, really love your city? Captains Martin and Tory Ross found a way to do just that. They’re Salvation Army officers who served in communities like Compton and Modesto, California. Now they’re in Lodi and they recently took on a project known as Love Lodi.

Lt. Jensen took his last sip of java and is now Ringing for the Record

Lt. Matthew Jensen of Santa Maria, CA

Coffee is contraband for the contestants competing in the World Record Bell Ringing Contest.

Lt. Matt is an eight cup-a-day drinker, so he’s a little sad to give it up for the next 60 hours.

But it’s worth it. He’s trying to capture the longest continuous bell ringing title!

And, he’s just the man to do it. He’s young, fit, and determined.

Here’s his video update, filmed in the last few seconds before the contest got underway.
