Innovative Salvation Army ads target people in need

Unless you live in Seattle, you probably haven’t seen The Salvation Army latest advertising campaign. Instead of billboards, bus bench signs and mall kiosks asking you to financially support people struggling with hunger, addiction or homelessness, the ads are targeted specifically to people in crisis.

The first-ever host of the Tonight Show is in today’s vintage Salvation Army ad!

A radio and television talk show legend, this talented man was also a prolific songwriter.

He and his lovely wife were also devoted to supporting charities near and dear to their hearts. Like, The Salvation Army.

They appeared in this Christmas television ad more about thirty years ago to raise awareness about the importance of the Army’s Red Kettle campaign.
