The famous "dependent!"

Their loving family included kids from prior marriages as well as adopted and foster children.

But this power couple’s most famous “dependent” sold at auction for $266,000!

Can you guess who?

They’re one of more than a dozen couples and individuals who gladly donated their time and talent to film brief TV public service ads to encourage the public to donate to The Salvation Army red kettles.

The ads were created from the 1950s all the way through the 1980s and were recently unearthed by the guys in our MultiMedia Ministries department.

During the Christmas season we’ve posted ads from a number of notable folks, including:
:: Helen Hayes
:: Lorne Greene
:: Steve Allen
:: Roger Staubach
:: Greer Garson
:: Julius Erving
:: Bob Hope
:: Bill Cosby
:: Milton Berle
:: Michael Landon
:: Burl Ives
