I just got back to my desk after meeting ABC Eyewitness News reporter Rudabeh Shahbazi at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Long Beach.

She paid a visit to interview two Salvation Army truck drivers who sprung into action to chase a suspected purse snatcher last week near the corner of Cherry Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard in Long Beach.

Salvation Army employee Scott Beaubien was showing trainee Mariano Bejaro the ropes during his first week on the job. They were doing a routine pick-up at one of our donation sites when they saw a man running down the street with a purse under his arm.
