Get a donut, or a dozen, by donating school supplies at Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme® Doughnuts and The Salvation Army are partnering to help provide local students with much needed school supplies during their 2013 “Stuff the Bus” campaign.
The campaign will serve community families in need by helping kids from across the country gear up for a successful academic year while also easing the high cost of school supplies for parents.
The “Stuff the Bus” campaign will run from now through the first of September, 2013 at participating Krispy Kreme US locations only.
Supporters are asked to drop off the following new school supplies at their local Krispy Kreme doughnut shop:
– hand sanitizer
As a sweet reward, supporters will receive one FREE Original Glazed® doughnut for a single school supply item donation, and one FREE Original Glazed® dozen for each donation of a backpack that contains school supplies. The supplies will be given to The Salvation Army and distributed to youth through their national social service programs.
“We want to thank Krispy Kreme for once again helping us provide children with the essential supplies needed for success in the classroom,” said Major Ron Busroe, national community relations and development secretary for The Salvation Army. “We hope our supporters will assist their neighbors in need by donating and enjoying a free donut from our friends at Krispy Kreme.”
