Our friends at the Hallmark Channel will be making a contribution of up to $10,000 to The Salvation Army as part of their popular COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS campaign on social media.

A component of the campaign is a geo-targeted Wish Map app on Facebook that encourages users to express The Meaning of Christmas with just a first name, zip code and heartfelt message for Christmas.

Hallmark ChannelTo find the app, visit the Hallmark Channel USA Facebook page and click on the ‘Meaning of Christmas’ tab below the cover photo.

Hallmark Channel3Login using your Facebook account or email and click the “get started” button. Next, you’ll be asked for your zip code so they know where to put your entry on the map.

Hallmark Channel 4Your map entry will go into moderation by Hallmark for an hour or two, then they’ll notify you when it’s been posted.

But the best is still yet to come: Hallmark will be donating $1 to The Salvation Army for the first 10,000 wishes!

The campaign launched this past weekend and will conclude on January 1, 2014. Please be sure to visit and add your Christmas wishes to the map too!

Thank you Hallmark Channel for this thoughtful, innovative social media campaign to benefit our Army!
