Every year for the last several, interior design students in Orange County, California participate in an event called the Noah’s ARC Design Challenge.
The ARC stands for Adult Rehabilitation Center – The Salvation Army’s drug and alcohol program which is funded by the sale of items you donate to and buy from our Family Stores.
Three teams representing different design schools choose a theme and then begin shopping for furniture, accessories and items that can be used to create room decor. The rooms are designed in a 12′ by 12′ space in three of our stores for public viewing.
Every item in the room is also available for purchase via silent auction. The proceeds from the auction benefit our no-fee, residential drug and alcohol program in Anaheim, California which houses 145 men and 30 women.
This year the participating students are from Westwood College, Art Institute and Interior Designers Institute.
